From Nov. 11 to 13, Pasadena Heritage celebrates the 25th year of sharing the authentic Craftsman-style homes throughout the Pasadena area with the public. The weekend’s fun-filled agenda holds a multitude of events and educational opportunities, including both walking and bus tours of Craftsman residences in Pasadena and the surrounding community, along with a chance to mingle with Pasadena’s architectural elite as visitors discover the history behind the homes. As many as 2,000 visitors travel from near and far—some as far away as Canada, England, and Australia—to attend this world-recognized weekend that celebrates the history of the American Arts and Crafts movement and the results of Pasadena Heritage’s preservation efforts of the historic homes. Pasadena Heritage Education Director Patty Judy affirms, “There’s just a genuine love for this type of architecture. [And Pasadena is] the West Coast premier for Craftsman architecture.”
In addition to the tours, the weekend’s agenda includes interactive workshops, evening receptions for socializing at historic sites, and the “Exposition Show and Sale” which features over 50 exhibitors showcasing both contemporary and antique furnishings fit for any home.
