We asked our contributors to share what’s on their holiday wish lists this year and the best gifts they’ve ever received.

“Great Give Aways ” PG. 28

I’d love to have an organizer to help me clear my clutter, a ski trip to Park City, and a new dress for New Year’s Eve.

PERFECT PRESENT: A new friend showedup to my birthday party this year with a toaster-sized box wrapped with a big bow. I had no idea what she had put in this box, but found out the next day when I finally got around to opening up my gifts. She’d given me an electronic shoulder massager, the kind that I’d always thought was too cheesy to buy. But now that I have this device, I use it every day.

First and foremost, I’m hoping that I can spend quality time with all of my friends—getting together with loved ones is more important to me than ever before. But if we’re talking about physical gifts, my top answer would be a dog, which would really be a gift from myself, since my wife and I plan to rescue one soon. Aside from that, I would love a gas-powered, seven-burner Viking rangetop.

PERFECT PRESENT: For my 40th birthday, which occurred during the pandemic, my wife created a surprise 30-minute tribute video that included celebratory messages from friends, family, and a few celebrities via Cameo.

A vacation! A massage! And diamonds! Is that too much to ask for? But also happiness, health, prosperity, and peace.

PERFECT PRESENT: An emerald-and-gold bracelet from my husband with three stones to commemorate an important moment in our lives.

The Best in the West: New in Aspen This Winter” PG. 32

A series of great ski days, time with family, and maybe a shearling-lined Chanel purse I have my eye on.

PERFECT PRESENT: The best gift I ever received was more of an experience. For my 40th, my best friends and family all gathered in Aspen for an absolutely perfect weekend I’ll never forget.
