Braise & Crumble
Stepping into Braise & Crumble is like stepping into a warm, welcoming kitchen, made bright by the giant "B&C CAFÉ" sign hanging along a rustic brick wall that encloses the quaint café. Wood tables and colorful stools occupy the small space leading up to the register, where a chalkboard menu hangs over a drool-worthy display of baked goods.
Stowed away in the Pasadena Theater District, between The Ice House and the Boston Court on Mentor Avenue, Braise & Crumble has been creating its own, unique brand of holiday cooking that truly resembles a homemade style, just like Mom's cooking, only dare we say better? From hearty options like pulled pork tacos and their signature fried chicken po' boy sandwiches, to fried pickles and savory jalapeño cornbread, Braise & Crumble’s menu is absolutely one of a kind.
The café also offers a vegetarian-friendly menu as an equally delicious alternative to their pork, beef and chicken smorgasbord of options. The menu includes a garlic veggie beast sandwich made with Roma tomatoes, avocado, and garlic spread on a French roll. For a sweet ending to the meal, Braise & Crumble has a different assortment of pastries, made fresh daily. We're partial to the apple crack pie that, like its name suggests, will have you clamoring for more.
