Popular Silver Lake Establishment Millie’s Cafe Has a Second Location

1141

Popular Silver Lake establishment Millie’s Cafe has set up a second locale in the hipster enclave of north Pas on Washington Boulevard (on the site of the former Community Kitchen, RIP). Following in the footsteps of its 90-something-year-old big sister, the Pasadena branch already boasts a loyal following, which explains the hundreds of Yelp reviews and heavy weekend crowds.

The lunch menu at Millie’s consists of classic diner fare. The real highlight is the extensive all-day breakfast menu, which truly offers something for everyone—omnivores, vegetarians, and, yes, even vegans. Savory egg “messes,” scrambles, and Benedicts are listed alongside decadent, carb-laden waffles, pancakes, and French toast varieties. Millie’s may not be reinventing breakfast, but you can count on a solid, satisfying meal made with high-quality ingredients every time.

We suggest coming early on weekends to avoid the brunch crowd. However, if you do find yourself stumbling in after 10 a.m., you won’t have to wait all day; the staff’s practiced efficiency ensures a relatively quick seating.

B-L daily, 1399 E. Washington Blvd., Pasadena, 626-486-2407, milliescafela.com.
