Refined American Comfort Food is Making Nick's a Pasadena Favorite

Nicks Pasadena

Nick’s might be new to Pasadena, but its four existing locations already make it a seasoned veteran of fi ne dining and hospitality. Taking the place of Brü Grill and Bar, Nick’s opened its doors on South Lake Avenue in October of 2017, but its upscale atmosphere, enthusiastic staff and sophisticated take on traditional American comfort food will quickly make it a Pasadena favorite.

For starters, the food is as much a feast for the eye as it is for the mouth. Asparagus fries, bacon deviled eggs, buttermilk fried chicken, and a prosciutto and pear flatbread are just few of their menu items that fill the dining room with an inviting, savory aroma. The popular blackened fish sandwich is piled high with colorful layers of crunchy cabbage, crispy onions, creamy tartar slaw, and, of course, the light and flakey mahi mahi. It’ll be difficult to resist snapping a few pictures of this beautiful plating before attempting to fit it in your mouth.

The beer, wine and cocktail menu allows for creativity when pairing food to drink, but if the extensive list appears overwhelming, the staff will enthusiastically lend their suggestions. For the perfect ending, espressos and desserts await.

Open every day for lunch and dinner, Nick’s perfects the balance between comfort and class. While the staff makes you feel at home, the finely presented food and refined atmosphere whisks you away in accordance with Nick’s motto, “Dine, Drink, Escape.” L-D daily.
