Dubbed “best wings in Los Angeles” by many of its patrons, The Greyhound Bar & Grill in Highland Park has become one of the neighborhood’s most successful storefronts since it opened in 2014. Due to the success, the doors of its Glendale location opened recently in October 2019, offering its fan favorite burgers, a savory love story between Greyhound’s house-grind and “perfect” potato bun (the result of a five-year collaboration between The Greyhound’s team and Mr. Holmes Bakehouse).
The menu offers traditional and accessible American-style bar food—with an upscale twist. The Greyhound keeps conscious sourcing of ingredients in mind, as well as in-house production wherever possible.
The signature “Greyhound Wings” are true to owner Matt Glassman’s Midwest origin and are a popular menu pick, with over 20 homemade sauces offered as accompaniments. According to Glassman, “We wanted to open a neighborhood pub to be a place for casual dining and to watch sports, but more importantly provide real Great Lakes-style hot wings and beer amongst all of the other fantastic chef-driven food in Los Angeles.”
