Join Mayor Terry Tornek for a City holiday tradition: the Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, 5-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, at City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave.

Bring family and friends to Pasadena’s free celebration featuring local singers and dancers, crafts for kids provided by Armory Center for the Arts, light refreshments, and a special appearance by ol’ Santa Claus. At 6 p.m., Mayor Tornek will flip the switch to light up the City’s official tree. Come early for parking.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to capture a special holiday photo during the event. Bring an unwrapped gift to benefit the Pasadena Fire Department’s Spark Of Love toy drive.

Great live entertainment throughout the night includes Wilson Middle School Drum Corps,  City’s Tiny Tots Troupe, Pasadena’s Afterschool Adventures Program, Pasadena High School LEARNs Orchesis Dance Team and Elements Dance Space. The City’s own dynamic duo of retired police officer Lt. Rodney “Rodney D” Wallace and Sgt. Glen Thompson will serve as emcees.
