5.1 Bacon Fest

Screen Shot 2016-06-09 at 12.15.00 PMIf you love bacon, and, let’s be honest who doesn’t, this all-you-can-eat bacon festival is a must attend event.

Held at the television and production facility, Los Angeles Center Studios, restaurants from all over the Los Angeles region are showcasing their specialty dishes…with a twist of bacon. Pasadena favorites like Dog Haus and Slater’s 50/50, as well as newly opened ice cream shop Quenelle in San Marino, will all be there to present their unique take on America’s number one culinary guilty pleasure.

The annual event pays homage to bacon’s fatty flavor in both sweet and savory dishes from bacon burgers and bacon banh mi to bacon donuts and bacon ice cream. Even those on a diet can enjoy “healthified” treats like bacon granola.

And don’t think that just because they’re called “samples” that they come in miniscule sample sizes. The portions are more than generous and you’re encouraged to take all that you can eat—even if that means thirds or fourths (or more!). For the cider and brew aficionados, over 20 breweries will be in attendance to hand out pours of the best products to complement the sinful saltiness of the bacon.

Sun., 4 p.m. Tickets $60. Los Angeles Center Studios, 1201 W. 5th St., Los Angeles, CA 90017, labaconfest.com.
