Langham’s Chuan Spa Could Be Pasadena’s Fountain of Youth

The Langham’s Chuan Spa offers spa-goers an opportunity to indulge and turn back the clock with the new Urban Longevity Facial.

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is a renowned property due to its five-star accommodations, delicious dining opportunities and personalized service—equally ideal for a staycation or evening out. The Langham’s award-winning Chuan Spa is well worth a visit on its own. An oasis of tranquility, guests can indulge in an extensive array of treatments and services inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine that are combined with cutting-edge skincare technology.

“Chuan Spa is an innovative spa concept developed by Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group and the only global spa brand based on Traditional Chinese Medicine,” says Susan Williger, The Langham Huntington’s director of marketing services.

The spa’s extensive service menu offers an ample selection of pampering opportunities, from hair and nail services to massages, scrubs and body treatments. There’s also an entire section dedicated to facial treatments created to soothe, soften, plump and refresh skin. Currently, the spa is offering a new treatment called the Urban Longevity Facial.

Described as “the perfect antidote to modern fatigue and urban lifestyle,” the Urban Longevity Facial is the ideal go-to treatment when you feel your skin is stressed and showing the first signs of aging, often caused by fatigue and a city lifestyle. The facial is customizable to correct trouble spots including dullness, dehydration, depletion and wrinkles, and deeply renews the skin thanks to a combination of /skin regimen/ products, /skin regimen/ Natural Aroma, Macro Waves Sound™, as well as unique Qigong and Rolling Roullage massage techniques that will leave skin luminous. “This facial is unlike a traditional facial,” Williger emphasizes. “Your entire self feels rejuvenated.”

Spa-goers can indulge in any of the 12 treatment rooms within the 11,000-square-foot spa sanctuary (which includes two couple’s suites, one of which is a completely private VIP Suite). Described by Williger as the “innermost sanctuary of the spa,” the VIP Suite features two massage tables surrounded by lit decorative screens and adjoined by a spacious relaxation zone. In the suite’s wet zone, a shower for two includes a steam shower with dual rain-headsadjustable body sprays, and a built-in bench with spa amenities.
