With Ferguson’s one-year anniversary approaching, they’ve already cemented their status as the remodeling go-to source in the Pasadena community.

Each year, thousands of design aficionados flock to the San Gabriel Valley to attend the nationally renowned design event: the Pasadena Showcase House of Design. This year, Lake Avenue’s Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery partnered with non-profit organization, Pasadena Showcase House of the Arts, to create the ultimate dream home featuring the latest styles and trends in interior design.
Designer Phill Vonk (owner of cabinet design and manufacturing firm D Christjan) collaborated with Ferguson to select high quality appliances, fixtures, faucets and decorative lighting to complete his European design concept in the home’s guest kitchen, breakfast nook and adjoining laundry room.
Though many would find the task of remodeling so many rooms at once to be daunting, Vonk eagerly rose to the challenge to create an entirely fresh look from scratch. “I was more than thrilled to take on the design challenges our guest house rooms presented. We removed unnecessary walls and basically started over with a fresh palette to spotlight our capabilities in high-end kitchen design and custom cabinetry,” explains Vonk who designed the cabinetry and built the cozy breakfast nook’s wood table himself.
The kitchen, arguably the most important room in day-to-day life, provided the perfect blank canvas for the Ferguson team and Vonk to create a chic space that reflects both elegance and functionality. “Ferguson’s support allowed us to create a beautiful, comfortable and highly functional new kitchen with top brands for our modern-meets-traditional concept,” says Vonk. With details like the customized white lacquered cabinetry, ornamental overhead lighting, sophisticated marble countertops and modern appliances courtesy of Ferguson, the contemporary oasis evokes a warm and inviting environment to be enjoyed by all.
