Over my many years in real estate I have discovered that seniors face unique challenges when selling a home. For some it’s been decades since they have sold a home. That’s why I invested my time to earn a National Association of Realtors® Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation. Often seniors are on their own, newly widowed or dealing with family member health challenges and find themselves overwhelmed. They need a partner and that’s where I come in. The questions come fast and furious. Where do I start? What do I do with all my belongings? I’ve been in this home for 50 years and I’m downsizing. I can’t take it all with me, and the kids don’t want it. I’ve heard it all and handled it all with empathy, an open ear, hand holding and a team to minimize the stress.
