Ambassador Auditorium
November 16, 2019

Ellen Reid Petrichor
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor”
de Falla Suite No. 1 from El sombrero de tres picos (The Three-Cornered Hat)
de Falla “Ritual Fire Dance” from El amor brujo (Love, the Magician)
Marquez Danzón No.2

Beethoven’s heroic voice is on full display with his greatest piano concerto performed by award-winning pianist Alessio Bax, whom Gramophone called “clearly among the most remarkable young pianists now before the public,” in their review of his recording of the same work. Reid’s Petrichor redefines ‘surround sound’ with spatialized musicians, shimmering strings and bright winds throughout the hall. Lockington is sure to deliver Latin sizzle with the rapturous rhythms and sultry melodies of DeFalla and Marquez.

No purchase necessary to enter. All you have to do is register to win. Contest ends at 9:00 AM on November 8, 2019. One winner will be chosen randomly to receive two tickets. Winner will be announced and contacted immediately.
