Awesome, Amazing, Exciting, Super, Wonderful, Fun, Educational, Adventurous… these are just some of the words campers use to describe their experience at the New Horizon Summer Camp.
Are you looking for a summer camp that will inspire your child to explore the outdoors, to be creative, to challenge their minds, and to just have fun? The NHSP Summer Camp offers campers a wide range of fun-filled and challenging experiences filled with exploration, learning, and friendship. In the safe and beautiful surroundings of the New Horizon campus and Peace Garden, we engage in thematic activities, field trips, and a Friday Jamboree. This year’s themes for each 2-week session include: Down by the River, Out of this World, and Enchanting Forest. Daily activities that incorporate the themes include Motion Commotion, STEMtastic, Inside the Garden and Outside Art, and Arabic Excursions.
STEMtastic creates challenges for campers to engage in collaborative problem-solving activities with each other. Inside the Garden and Outside Art involves hands-on garden-based experiences and art lessons using natural materials through our expansive Peace Garden and wildlife habitat. Arabic Excursions takes campers on a journey of discovery and enhancement of Arabic language skills, no matter one’s level, through cooking, art, and games. Motion Commotion exposes campers to a variety of new camp games and team-building sports.
During the hot summer days, what better way to cool off than to get WET?! Water days take place at least once a week on Water Wednesdays, and campers bring water blasters for lots of wet fun. Jamborees bring all campers together to close out the week and enjoy a culminating activity together. This summer, we will have a Boat Race, Rocket Launch, and a S’more Reading Campout for our Jamborees. On the final day of each 2-week session, campers get to enjoy the thrill of an 18-foot GIANT water slide!
An energetic and caring staff of camp teachers, camp counselors, and junior counselors gives campers a chance to enjoy their experiences and build positive relationships in a well-supervised, safe environment. Camp hours are from 7:30 – 3:45 pm. Extended Fun Camp takes place for an additional charge from 4 – 6 pm. Camp dates are June 23 through July 30, and families must register by the week (not by the day). Early bird registration takes place from Feb. 3 through April 30 with a 15% discount. Registration closes on June 17. Discounted rates are available. You can learn more about the New Horizon Summer Camp by visiting our website at newhorizonschool.org/summercamp or just Register Here.
