Ronald McDonald House Pasadena 16th Annual SHINE Gala: A Night at Home Together

Ronald McDonald House Pasadena is pleased to invite everyone to the SHINE Gala: A Night at Home Together on October 17, 2020. Join the fun to virtually celebrate the strength of the families they serve and raise critical funds to keep their doors open. In today’s turbulent times, providing a safe and welcoming “home-away-from-home” for families with critically ill children is more relevant than ever.

The highly anticipated virtual event will engage many members of our community to highlight the network of support that allows families to heal and will feature the touching story of Yessica and her daughter, Naira Sofia, who are currently staying at the House. Together, we will honor Shriners for Children Medical Center for their invaluable partnership and remarkable medical care for children. Registration is free to anyone, anywhere who wants to join in on the fun. Limited VIP Tickets are available for purchase, and include the delivery of a curated SHINE at Home Kit, so you can celebrate in style.

“While these turbulent times have made an impact on the entire community, it has been especially hard for families with critically ill children. Many parents who were already experiencing anxiety due to their child’s illness, must continue going to medical facilities for treatment, at a time when it is safer to stay inside,” says Executive Director Mara Leong-Maguinez. “It is more important than ever to come together as a community to help families with critically ill children embrace life and healing with a sense of hope. Together, we can keep our House shining for years to come.”

Funds raised through the SHINE Gala–chaired by Wendy Dougherty– will support the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena mission of providing comfort, care, and support to families with critically ill children, keeping them close to one another, their doctors, and needed medical care. Sponsors for the event include Food Properties Group and the Delphey Family as Diamond Sponsors; and Megan and Rick Foker, LA Financial Credit Union, Sharp Seating, San Antonio Winery and Shriners for Children Medical Center as Platinum Sponsors.
